From the ashes of the old feud Moncada, Daniela and Salvo’s dream comes into life: to produce “Custera” oil. Custera oil is not a legend, but the result of a fantastic combination of sun and ground.
Our company stretches for 15 hectares in the heart of Eastern Sicily on Etna slopes in Belpasso territory, a medium hilly soil facing southwest.
Split into the varieties “Nocellara Etnea” and “Nocellara Messinese”, for a total of 3200 plants, our company yearly produces about 5000 litres of biological extra virgin olive oil.
Our product is named after contrada Vasadonna, an area where women used to go to wash their clothes in a river and where it may happen that a brave and lucky wooer could receive a kiss from his beloved.
